... experiences that happen along the way!
I am fascinated by the graphic impact of light, shadow and color patterns
that happen in nature during the day and seasons. Washes of color enrich my paintings,
the way nature creates transparent washes of natural and reflected color. The experimental
nature of water media, allows my creative spirit to be constantly enlightened in discovering
the wonderful creative experiences that happen along the way!
With degrees in Studio Art from Douglass College of Rutgers University and Graphic Design
from Tyler School of Art, my paintings have evolved from work in oil and water media
as well as printmaking in silkscreen and lithography.
The graphic quality of an image, together with color, form and texture, are
especially exciting when working on images found in nature. I enjoy painting
subjects both plein air and in my studio. When I am painting, or considering
a subject, I am always drawing on my creative history to capture the
uniqueness of the image, realistically and graphically.
